The nearest mainline train station is Waverley Station in the centre of the
City. Example journey times by train to Edinburgh from Aberdeen is 2hrs 30mins,
Manchester 3 hrs 50 mins, Birmingham 4hrs 30 mins, Newcastle 1 hr 30 mins,
Glasgow 50 mins, Liverpool 4 hrs 30 mins, Inverness 4 hrs, London 4 hrs 20 mins

The King's Buildings Campus can be accessed from the A701 from from the City
Bypass (A720) until it becomes Mayfield Road. Entrance gates 3 and 4 can be
found on Mayfield Road with entrance gates 1 and 2 on West Mains Road. Visitors
using the A1 can approach the University following the City Bypass (A720), turn
off at the A701 junction until it becomes Mayfield Road (The Science and
Engineering Faculty) and continue straight ahead until through Causewayside
until you reach the central area
