The Shaftesbury Premier London Hyde Park was much better than I had expected after reading some poor reviews on the internet. The location was great, near the tube and train station, but down a quiet and peaceful green terrace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and tastefully decorated. The room was small (but you expect that in the capital) yet had everything you would need for a short stay. It may not quite be a 4 star but a high 3 star hotel. The only problem we found was that the only lift was often busy and so we took the stairs up 4 floors rather than wait ages! But overall it was a great stay and we would definitely go again.

Hotel very clean and tidy, only complaint was the rooms were very hot with no air conditioning working. Did request a fan and was promised one but it never came. They were installing new equipment so really, my complaint is very minor. Will use this hotel again

We stayed for 4 days. The room rate was expensive and not including breakfasts. The Quad family room and the en-suite bath are very small. The staff failed to vacumn clean the room and wash the cups in the following days. I would try to look for those hotels which are not on the popular booking websites in future so as to get the best value for money for my stay

Hotel was good value, clean and staff friendly. Its a great hotel for a base if your out and about and just need a bed so was ideal for purpose of our visit. I would stay at this hotel again
