Excellent for its position, by Victoria Station. And the staff were helpful. Glad I didn't have a suitcase, only a backpack as the stairs were very narrow and difficult to climb. While the shower itself was good, the water went everywhere on the floor and toilet making it difficult to dress without getting your clothes wet

The room is a little bit small that it is difficult for you to have any space to open your suitcase. The room is clean, there is someone cleaning your towers and bed everyday, but they would move the things you put on the bed. So if you don't want anyone to move them or enter your room, you can put a notice on the door and tell them not to do so. There is refrigerator and kettle for you to use. Mirror and sink are in the room to. The breakfast is actually okay for the price you get. They would ask if you want coffee or tea. Coffee is instant one and you have to make it your own. But they would actually give you milk and orange juice as well, so if you dun want tea or coffee, just tell them that you want juice/milk. There is actually another option which is hot chocolate but people barely know. And then you would have three toasts (four if you eat along). You can have jam and butter, and you can get some cereal in the room next to the one with kitchen, which is what the milk is for. We saw that some people were angry with what they got for breakfast, but for the price that you pay, I think that all this is already enough. One men hope to got orange jam but the staff told him that they didn't have any and told him to find it on other tables, which made him angry. We did see a few people who wanted to complain. The staff is okay. One look nicer. They don't really smile, and chat a lot most of the time. Sometimes they chat and didn't even clean the table. To make it more convenient (or due to their laziness), they would tell you that the other room is closed and only allow you to sit in the one next to kitchen. Sometimes they would even tell strangers to sit together even if there are empty tables, which was fine for me. Bad thing is you don't get to use the kitchen so you can only eat out or buy packed food that doesn't require cooking or microwave. There are three toilets. The one on the bottom has shower with it. The one on level one has a separate bathroom with it, but there is no sink in the toilet so you may have to wash your hands back to your room. There is actually one toilet without bathroom on higher floor, but they wouldn't tell you if you live on lower floors. Beware that there is no tissue papers. Once my friend went to find the staff and told them that there was no tissue paper, it turned out that they gave that to her and told her to change it on her own. Although there are only two rooms for shower, it seems like not a lot of people are using them since every time when I went to shower, I got the empty one and didn't see anyone waiting. The toilets are quite clean too. Some people comment here about the noise of the train. That didn't really bother me as I was tired and fell asleep quickly, and those noise couldn't wake me up. But talking about noise, the ‘neighbour' next to my room didn't know how to close the door quietly and also create the sounds bang loudly. Sometimes there were people talking loudly on the street too. About other comments, this place really is a convenient as it is next to Victoria (coach) station. It is only a few streets away. You would not want to carry your suitcase and walk a long way right? I would still recommend Holly House Hotel London, as long as you are not expecting services from a real London hotel. (Well it calls itself hotel but I guess hostel is more appropriate)

The stay at Holly House Hotel London was pleasant. The reception was good and hotel staff were helpful. Nevertheess, I would like to suggest the following: 1. To inform guest upfront of the size of the room and to remind them not to bring large luggage which is difficult to be accommodated in such a small room. 2. Breakfast to include eggs. If you staff more than 1 day, you will get bored quickly with the breakfast given. Other than than, I'm really happy with Holly House and have no problem to return
